Terms & Conditions

 

GENERAL:

A bid is an agreement to purchase the item(s). Highest bidders are committed to purchasing won item(s) and to picking up item(s) during scheduled pick up times..  Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase and/or pick up your items. You, or someone you appoint, MUST be available to pick up your purchases on the scheduled pick up date unless you have made prior shipping or delivery arrangements. Bidding privileges may be suspended for ALL store fronts if you default on this agreement.

All bidders must be at least 18 years old.

The auction clock is set to EASTERN STANDARD TIME.   Auction end times are staggered by auction lot. View each lot for specific end time.  

Auction pick up locations change from auction to auction and are generally in the greater Tucson area.  The general location of pick up (crossroads and zip code) are noted in the auction listing.


BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS:

You must register to begin bidding on our auction site. We have made every effort to describe items as accurately as possible with any defects noted. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items.  We do not list every flaw.  All items are sold AS IS.  No refunds or returns.  All sales are final.  Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, and electronic or mechanical device.  Dimensions given may be approximate.

Ask any and all questions PRIOR to bidding. Buyer is responsible for understanding all the deadlines, rules and terms for each sale.

Caring Transitions reserves the right to retract bids and/or end listings whenever necessary.


PAYMENTS:

A 15% Buyers Premium and 8.6% sales tax will be added to the winning bid amount.

To pay for your purchases please sign in to www.CTOnlineAuctions.com.  Click on “My Account” and then click “Won.”  Seller requires pre-payment through PayPal. PayPal will give you the option of paying with your credit card if you do not have a PayPal account.  Invoices MUST be paid prior to pick-up unless cash payment arrangements have been made.  Failure to pay for your items prior to pick-up day may result in the item(s) being resold.  To make cash payment arrangements contact Ann Williams, via email, at awilliams@caringtransitions.net.

Resellers are required to provide a copy of the reseller permit (AZ Tax Form 5000) prior to end of the sale. This will allow adjustment of your invoice for removal of sales tax.  When your purchase falls into the tax exempt category, you must send an email to notify us of your tax exempt status PRIOR to paying the invoice.  Please email permit to: awilliams@caringtransitions.net.

Please wait for your online invoice to be emailed to you, before paying, so we can group multiple wins on one invoice. Typically invoices are emailed within 24 hours of the end of an auction.  Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice.

SCHEDULING FOR A PICK-UP:

Scheduling your pick up, or notifying us of your shipping or delivery needs, WITHIN 24hrs of winning a bid is MANDATORY!   A link for scheduling a pick up time will be listed on the right hand side of your invoice under “Sales Comments.”  Please schedule your pick up time as soon as possible so you may secure your desired pick up time.  Pick up times are staggered as many times parking and access to the auction location is limited.  Customers will be assisted in the order of scheduled pick-up times.


GENERAL PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS:

Auction pick up locations vary from auction to auction and are generally in the greater Tucson area.  The general location of pick up (crossroads and zip code) are noted in the auction listing.  The exact address and instructions for arranging a pre-set pick up time will be on the right hand side of your Caring Transitions invoice (not PayPal) under “Sales Comments.”   You MUST schedule a pick-up time no later than 8pm the day following auction closing.  The URL link for scheduling a pick up time will be listed on the right hand side of your invoice under “Sales Comments.”  

Any items not paid for (or no alternative payment arranged) prior to start of pick up day WILL be considered abandoned and resold.  Bidder risks being banned for non-payment.

Please bring your own packing materials and boxes to protect your items and any assistance you may need to load and remove items from premises.  Loading assistance is not a guarantee and is not always available.  Be sure you have enough cargo space to haul all your treasures.

It is your responsibility to ensure everything you purchased is accounted for and is in the condition represented in the listing PRIOR to leaving the pick up site.  Please bring any concerns to our attention, prior to leaving, so we may have an opportunity to resolve any dissatisfaction you may have with your purchased item(s).


IN-HOME PICK UP INFORMATION:

Unless otherwise stated in the description, items will be brought out of the home for you and placed in a staged pick-up area.  You MUST have enough help to lift, carry, and load your items from the staged pick up area to your vehicle.  Loading assistance is not a guarantee and is not always available.

All of our items are located in our clients’ home.  The items are photographed and sold as is, where is.  In our contract with our client, we commit to have all items removed from the home by the end of the scheduled pickup day. We work hard with all parties involved (realtors, home stagers, donation entities, painters, professional cleaners, carpet installers, trash removal, etc.) to meet this deadline.  If your items are not picked up on the scheduled pick up date and time, and no prior arrangements for shipping or delivery have been made, any items not picked up during the scheduled pick up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold.  No refund will be issued.

For a fee, items may be transported to our warehouse for pick up at a later date.  Arrangements and payment for any transport MUST be arranged prior to pick up day.  Transport fees range from $10 to $45 a lot and are dependent upon the size of the lot and packing required for the transportation of the lot.  Storage fees for transported lots are applied after the first 24 hours of transport.  Storage fees are $1.00 per day/per lot.  If, after 4 calendar days, we have not had any communication from you, any unclaimed items will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. No refund will be issued.


WAREHOUSE PICK-UP INFORMATION:

If your paid items are not picked up on the scheduled pick up date and time, and no alternate pick up time arrangements have been made by the close of pick up day, you will be charged a $20 missed pick up fee and a $45 restocking fee.  After 24 hours a $1.00 per day/per lot storage fee will be assessed.  If, after 4 calendar days, we have not had any communication from you, any unclaimed items will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold. No refund will be issued.

DELIVERY:

We offer an affordable delivery service for anyone who is unable to pick up their items during the designated pick up day/times.  Delivery arrangements MUST be made in advance of pick up day.  To arrange delivery of your items please email Ann Williams at awilliams@caringtransitions.net.

PACKING/SHIPPING:

Shipping is available at the buyer's expense.  If you would like to have your purchases shipped, please notify us, via email (awilliams@caringtransitions.net), immediately after receiving and paying your invoice.  Packing/shipping charges will be billed once your initial invoice has been paid, we have received notice shipping is needed, and we have had a chance to pack your items.  Charges will be billed to your original invoice for payment.  Packing/shipping can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks but we do strive to have items shipped within 2 weeks of the auction pick up day.  If you have not received an updated invoice (via email) within three weeks of the auction pick up date, please contact Ann Williams, via email at awilliams@caringtransitions.net.

Shipping charges are determined by the shipping carrier and are added to the packing fees.   Our primary shipping method is via Fed Ex.  Additional charges are assessed for special shipping requests.

We do not provide cost estimates for shipping.  Shipping costs are determined once an item has been packed, measured and weighted.

Ship to address is used from your invoice to set up an initial account profile for all your purchases. All future packages will be shipped to this same address unless you change the address on your account profile AND email us regarding this change. You MUST email and alert us of this change in address or your old profile information will be used for shipping.

Packing fees are charged by the lot.  The cost for packing is $10 for the first lot (a lot is any item, or group of items with a single price point) and $5 for each additional lot being shipped.  This cost is per an invoice.  If you have an unusually large lot or unusual shaped/fragile items, you may be charged an additional material cost or the cost for UPS to pack and ship the item(s).

Packing/shipping can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks but we do strive to have items shipped within 2 weeks of the auction pick up day. There is a $40 charge if you would like an expedited shipment of your items (shipped within 24 hours of pick up day).

If you have not requested shipping of your items within 24 hours of auction close, you may be billed a restocking fee of $20.00.  If you have not paid the shipping fees within 7 days of billing, your items will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold.   No refund will be issued.

Caring Transitions of Southern Arizona reserves the discretionary right to postpone or cancel any auction or listing without notice.  Caring Transitions of Southern Arizona will have no liability to prospective bidders as a result of any withdrawal, cancellation or postponement of auctions or listings.  All items are subject to errors, omissions and withdrawal.
