DESCRIPTION

Vintage 1941 Drinks Mixing Book with Stand: 1) Discover, mix, and taste drink recipes from the early 20th century! "Here's How" is a wood covered, leather bound, metal hinged book on the mixing of drinks. It was compiled and edited by W. C. Whitfield and decorated by Tad Shell. Published by Three Mountaineers Inc at Asheville, NC. Printed in 1941. It's in good condition commensurate with age; 2) This wooden book stand is adjustable based on the thickness of the book.  It has a wooden back support with a clear plastic cover.  12" wide x 10" tall.

After winning buyers have paided the CT invoice, they will follow the link on their invoice to SignUp Genius to schedule a pick up time.  This is a gated community – no one will be given access unless a time has been scheduled and their name is on the “approved access” list.

Your bid is a contract to pay for won items. You are responsible for honoring it. Contact us if you have questions or difficulty processing your purchase. 

The payment deadline for won items is Tuesday, October 23rd at NOON!  

If not paid by deadline we will offer your items to the next bidder.   

15% Buyer’s Premium and 9.5% Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price.

Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage and used items. We do our best to show/describe any flaws or defects, but all items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions are approximate. All sales are final. No refunds or credits will be issued.

Auction Terms & Conditions

Winning bidders MUST pick-up items on Saturday, October 27th 15th between 9:00 am and 12:00 am PDT.  Winning bidders MUST SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT with us by using Sign Up Genius to get the address for pick-up. A link will be included in the invoice. This is gated community – no one will be given access unless you schedule a time and get your name on the “approved access” list.

*Any requests for alternate pick-up times must be made BEFORE bidding to avoid alternate pick-up charges. No-shows at pick-up will be charged a holding fee to pick up items at a different date.*

Bidders are responsible for understanding the following Terms & Conditions of this auction.

1.    An invoice will be generated for auction winners shortly after the auction ends. 

Please wait to pay until the auction is complete and you have received a combined invoice from us. The invoice will provide the purchase amount and the day(s) and hours of pick-up. If you win more than one item, it is best to wait until we email your invoice so that you can make just a single payment. If you are a registered reseller, please contact us prior to making payment so that we can adjust your invoice accordingly. A resale certificate is required for any tax adjustments.

 

2.    Payment must be made using PayPal.

You do not need to be a PayPal member to make payments. You may enter a credit card/debit card number or log in to your account if you have one. Payment must be processed by the payment deadline: Tuesday, October 23rd  at NOON. Please *do not* pay with an “eCheck”/checking account, as that method of payment can delay the processing of funds past the payment deadline.

 

3.    Two additional charges will appear on your invoice. 

A 15% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the winning bid for auctions. Sales tax of 9.5% will also be added.

4.    The Customer MUST pay for auctioned property by NOON on Tuesday, October 23rd unless other arrangements have been made. 

Customers who have not paid by that date/time forfeit any claim to the property and the property may be sold to another buyer. Exceptions to this rule will only be made if the customer has contacted us by phone before the payment deadline to make other arrangements which are agreeable to all parties.

 

5.    Customers must pick up items at the appointed time/location.

Property that has been paid for but is not picked up by the end of the pick-up period will be considered abandoned and subject to no refund. Exceptions to this rule will only be made if the customer has contacted us by phone before the pick-up day starts to make other arrangements which are agreeable to all parties.

 

6.    Bidder must be prepared lift, carry, and load purchases in their vehicle. 

You may need to bring your own boxes/totes, tools, straps, dollies, etc. Bring your help and friends; you will need to carry your items to your vehicle. The team at Caring Transitions is not authorized to assist in the moving, lifting, or loading of items.  

 

7.    Everything is sold as is where is.

No warranties are given or implied. All sales are final. If you have questions about operational status or the item’s condition, send an email with your question prior to bidding.   

 

8.    We are happy to try to facilitate the shipping of small items if you are out of town. Contact us BEFORE BIDDING to confirm that the item(s) can be shipped. 

We deliver your items to UPS free of charge and then UPS will contact you to pay for packing and shipping.  Bidders can call UPS at (626) 301-9703 to obtain estimate for shipping.  If the buyer refuses to pay for shipping, the item is considered abandoned and maybe be donated or resold, without repayment to the initial high bidder.
